School House Pond

Looking for tranquility amidst the hustle and bustle of the work week? The School House Pond, a quiet conservation area, provides a scenic environment for picnickers and hikers.

Located across the street from the Prince George's County Administration Building, this site includes a 12-acre pond and surrounding parkland. A fishing pier, photo blind, 3/4-mile boardwalk, picnic area, and nature trail are located on-site.

School House Pond is a great place for fishing. The Department of Natural Resources stocks the pond with trout every year. A non-tidal fishing license is required for persons 16 & older.

In addition, a trout stamp is required to catch-and-take trout from the pond. Refer to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources web site for more information.
