Town Awarded Census 2020 Grant Funding

The Board of Town Commissioners for the Town of Upper Marlboro is pleased to announce that the Town is one of 32 municipalities that has been awarded a grant from the Maryland Department of Planning to support the accurate counting of the state and its local jurisdictions for the 2020 Census.  The Town of Upper Marlboro was notified Friday that it received a grant award of $3,365.

The grant funding will be used to help ensure a fair, accurate, and inclusive count, and to increase the response rate of hard-to-count communities and populations in Maryland.

Census day is April 1, 2020. Residents can respond online, by phone, or via mail-in form.
