Town of Upper Marlboro Selects President/Mayor for 2020/2021 Term
Upper Marlboro, MD- The Board of Commissioners for the Town of Upper Marlboro have selected Linda Pennoyer to become Upper Marlboro’s new President/Mayor for their 2020-2021 term. Pennoyer was elected as a Commissioner in 2016 and has served as a Commissioner and the Town’s Treasurer for her past two terms.
Upper Marlboro residents voted for three Commissioners at the January 6, 2020 election; earlier tonight, the Commissioners met to decide which of the three would serve as President/Mayor during their two-year term.
President Pennoyer has served on the Town’s Historical Committee, Sustainable Communities Workgroup, and the Marlborough Area Recreation Council. She is a graduate of the Maryland Academy for Excellence in Local Government, and currently serves on the Prince George’s County Municipal Association’s Board of Directors as Secretary.
