CZigs BBQ is owned and operated by Charlie Hyatt and George “Zig” Zigler. Combined Charlie and George have more than 20 years of catering and restaurant experience. Charlie began his career, under the direct guidance of pit-master Henry “Smoke” of Henry’s Smokehouse, in Oklahoma. Henry “Smoke” taught him the many different flavors of wood, spices, and meats, to ensure the various meats are properly flavored and tendered during smoking. Charlie owned and operated “Bourbon House BBQ” in Baltimore, MD from 2004 to 2006. George’s skills and desire for smoked meats and cooking, was engrained in him as a child. He learned the art of flavors and smoking meats through his grandfather and father in Concord, NC. He continued to follow his passion for cooking by preparing a variety of meats and sides for his friends and family. George later turned that love for cooking for his family and friends, to “Zigs Ribs”, which he could then bring those bold and aggressive flavors to a wider audience. CZigs BBQ take pride in providing real wood smoked barbecue, great homemade sides, in a small quaint carry-out restaurant setting. We offer pick-up and delivery (local area only), as well as catering, anyplace, any state.
Our restaurant is unique because we serve all our meats with a dry rub, to allow you to taste the smoky, moist flavor of the meats. The meats are the main event of your restaurant experience; slow smoked for hours over real wood.
In addition, we offer a wide variety of homemade sides and desserts, 3 different homemade sauces (Hot Damn (Spicy), Uncle Charlie’s Sauce (Sweet), and Zig’s Special Sauce (Tangy)) and Zig’s Dirty Fries.
The key to CZigs BBQ success is providing our customers with top notch customer service, and consistent, quality foods that taste great every time. When you think BBQ, think CZigs “Where there’s smoke, there’s ribs!!”
CZigs BBQ is available for all your catering needs. For all catering orders please download the order form and/or send us an email at info@czigsbbq.com for more specific catering request. Please allow a minimum of 24-48 hours for all large catering orders. One pan serves approximately 10-15 people. For more specialized catering options, please give us a call to discuss further.
