The Town of Upper Marlboro maintains parking meters along Main, Pratt Street, the east side of Elm Street, and Old Mill Road. The County has meters along Gov. Oden Bowie Drive, the west side of Elm Street directly in front of the Post Office, and Water Street. Please be aware of whose meter you are using, since times and charges for Town and County meters may be different.
The County also maintains several parking lots and parking structures near the Courthouse and County Administration Building. Some lots or areas are restricted for parking permits only. Make sure to look for signs that allow public parking. Visit the County Web site for more specific information on meters and parking lots/structures.
The County offers free parking to the public at the Equestrian Center/Showplace Arena on Water Street south of Route 4. Ride the County's free and frequent shuttle buses to the Courthouse, County Administration Building or other downtown destinations.
In addition, there are many private parking lots in downtown Upper Marlboro which are not open to the general public. Other lots are for customer parking only. Parking in one of these lots illegally can cost you a $25.00 ticket, so choose wisely.
