Please attend the first public hearing on the Update of the Master Plan for the Town of Upper Marlboro on Thursday, October 4 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Marlboro Volunteer Fire Department, 14815 Pratt Street Read the introduction letter on the meeting's goals and fill out a survey form to bring to the public hearing. The second annual sidewalk arts and music festival Park Your Arts will be held on Sunday, September 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Upper Marlboro Library on Main Street. The event, sponsored by Friends of the Upper Marlboro Library, will feature live music, storytelling, children's activities and a used book sale. On Sunday, August 26, the second annual Cruzin' Main Street Car and Street Rod Show will be held on Main Street from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Vehicle registration begins at 1:00 p.m. at Ledo's Restaurant. This year's event benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Oldies music will be provided by DJ Brother Paul. Join us for a great afternoon of food, fun, awards and balloons for the kids! The Public Works Department has untreated mulch available for Town residents at no charge. Interested residents can load and haul their own from the old Public Works facility located off Judge's Drive by appointment only. Please call the Town Clerk at (301) 627-6905 x3, to schedule a pick-up time between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
